Ein DIY-Film, der transarchistische Utopien aus gelebter Erfahrung entstehen lässt. 2015 kommt Irene, gerade aus Spanien in Toulouse angekommen, im TDB (Trou De Balle) unter – einem besetzten Haus einer transfeministisch-anarchistisch-queeren Gemeinschaft. Mit ihrer Handkamera hält sie Euphorie, politische Kämpfe, Liebschaften und das Chaos des Zusammenlebens fest. Die Bilder sind roh und verspielt, zugleich mit klarem Blick auf ihr unmittelbares Umfeld. Dabei dokumentiert Irene nicht nur die anderen, sondern auch die eigene Identitätsentwicklung. Zehn Jahre später trifft sie ihre damaligen Kamerad*innen wieder. Aus Erinnerungen, unterschiedlichen Perspektiven und gemeinsamen Erfahrungen entsteht ein bewegendes Mosaik queerer Geschichte – und ihrer eigenen Reise zu sich selbst. QUEER ME erzählt von transfeministischem Widerstand, kollektiver Selbstorganisierung und dem Versuch, patriarchale Strukturen nicht nur zu kritisieren, sondern ihnen konkrete Alternativen entgegenzusetzen.

A DIY film shaped by lived experience and transarchist visions of another world. In 2015, Irene arrives in Toulouse from Spain and finds a place at the TDB (Trou De Balle), a squat inhabited by a transfeminist, anarchist queer community. With her handheld camera, she captures the euphoria, political struggles, affairs, and everyday chaos of living together. The footage is raw and playful, yet always attentive to the world immediately around her. Irene documents not only the people around her, but also her own journey of identity and self-discovery. Ten years later, she reunites with her comrades from that time. Memories, different perspectives, and shared experiences come together in a moving mosaic of queer history—and a journey back to herself. QUEER ME explores transfeminist resistance, collective self-organisation, and the effort to do more than criticise patriarchal structures: to create concrete alternatives to them.
